Can we stay over night?
No, we do not offer overnight stays ourselves. However, in Bruges we currently have 2 partners who offer a Bath & Barley package:
Mansion 9, a pure experience in a homely setting with high-end comfort in a historic townhouse.
La Suite, a small scale, high-end B&B who featured Bath & Barley on the 'Met 4 in Bed' television show.
We can also recommend some places to stay:
Bruges
Hotel Augustyn: you can't sleep any closer, the hotel is right next door. Very friendly and a great value for money.
Portinari: Contemporary 4* hotel on the Lively square 't Zand. Enjoy the fully renovated rooms and the great dining options on the ground floor.
Brussels
The Dominican: very stylish 4* boutique hotel right around the corner from Bath & Barley. Designed by the same architect who once had his offices in the Bath & Barley space, you can even recognize the same beautiful flooring.
Aparthotel Adagio: it might not be the most personal experience, but is a very decent value for money option right in the middle of the action and just a short walk from Bath & Barley.
When should we arrive?
We invite our guests to arrive 15 min before their scheduled spa time. It allows us to explain the details of your beer spa experience and puts you in the right mood. At this time, you can ask questions, choose your own hop scrub and order extra beer flights would you want to.
If you arrive late, we will do our best to provide you with the best experience within the time that is left. Unfortunately, the end time of your time slot will remain the same.
What do I need to bring?
Apart from your good mood, nothing really. We provide you with all the fresh towels you may need, as well as a sheet for the straw bed or the sofa. If you book the "Luxury" experience, we will include extra towels for use in the sauna. If you would like a bathrobe, we can provide them to you for EUR 5 per person or you can bring your own. You can bring your own slippers if you want.
How much time does the experience take?
We expect guests to arrive 15 minutes before the start of their session. If you arrive on time, the total time spent in your private beer spa room will be one hour, this includes time to change. If you want more time to enjoy the beer spa, please book a longer session. In Brussels we offer 2- or 3 hour sessions, in Bruges we offer 1,5 hour and 3 hour sessions. Longer sessions come with a discount!
Does the staff speak English?
Yes, all hosts speak English.
Are children allowed?
Yes, children are allowed and welcome. However, please do note that according to Belgian law children below the age of 16 are not allowed to consume beer. The person who makes the reservation has to be at least 18 years old and is responsible for all minors. We ask all our guests to be respectful of each other and our neighbours.
